The kind or nature of lifestyle that you lead has a direct impact on your health. Not too long ago, lifestyle-related diseases were seen as the preserve of the adults and certain classes of people. The notion is now changing, and these diseases are affecting people irrespective of their age and social status. A good definition of lifestyle disease is ‘an ailment associated with how a group of people or individual lives.’ Research shows that these type of diseases are among the leading causes of death from all over the world. There may be some activities that you do unknowingly that will lead to such ailments. Below are some of the common diseases

Obesity

This problem is now affecting adults and kids alike. Many people struggle with weight problems from all over the world. Some gain weight when they are stressed out due to increased appetite. America is one of those countries that lead in obesity cases, and sometimes all you can do is to help them walk or start a diet and shed some extra weight. There are some cases which are genetic but still with the right diet; you can overcome the problem.

Heart diseases

These are among the leading causes of deaths, and they affect both adults and young ones. Heart disease in simple terms refers to an irregularity that affects the walls of the blood vessels of the heart muscles. Some of the leading causes of heart disorders include excessive alcohol intake, smoking, and high cholesterol levels from various foods. Examples of heart disorders include coronary artery disease, stroke, and heart attack. High blood pressure

Blood pressure refers to the measure of blood’s force against the vessels walls. High blood pressure is also known as hypertension and is a condition that forces the heart muscles to work harder than they are used to pump blood to various vessels. In some cases, high blood pressure can be as a result of genetic composition. Some of the lifestyle conditions that cause this disease include smoking, excessive alcohol intake, stress, lack of physical activity, chronic kidney disease, being overweight, depression and sleep apnea just to mention a few.
